Leaked Phots & Clips - Jaime, Margaery & Tommen

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , ,

YESSSS

Leaked photos and footage of what's going to go DOWN in King's Landing, especially with Margaery, the Faith Militant and Jaime!!!

I love the folks over at Watchers on the Wall, because they get all the awesome information ahead of time. And I love them all the more for it.

Check out Daddy Tyrell's feather plume. It's so fabulous! News like this makes me happy because it's September, Winter is Coming and the days are passing by. Not that I'm wishing time away or anything like that, but I can handle Season Six being less than 7 months away.

This footage and seeing Jaime.....OMG does this mean what I think it does?!

And is Grandma Olenna coming back to lay the smack down on that evil witch, Cersei? OH I SURE HOPE SOOOO!!!

Tell Tale Games - Game #2

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , ,

February is literally around the corner. With it are thoughts of Valentine's Day cards, flowers, dinner reservations and other equally romantic things to do.

Everybody be like, "Oh Valentine's Day is getting closer" and I'm here, like - "Tell Tale Games is releasing their second Game of Thrones game on February 5th!!!!!!!!!"

Whehoooooo!!! Clapping and lots of wolf whistles ensue!!!

Walk of Shame

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , ,

Filming has been underway for some time now in Spain and in Croatia. The controversial scene with Cersei has been filming, but under the strictest of schedules.

DB Weiss and David Benioff have also made sure that a skeleton crew are around to film a certain scene in which Cersei is forced to walk through the streets of King's Landing. The producers and directors of the show have made sure that only a handful of extras are around for the scene, in order to shoot the scene as quickly as possible and to also protect the actresses' modesty.

Book readers know that a major showdown will take place between Cersei Lannister and Margaery Tyrell.

This is going to be one hell of a catfight!

Cersei's Controversial Scene

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , ,

There's a controversial scene that will be coming up in the fifth season.

Book readers, you know what I'm talking about. It involves Cersei and a certain punishment that is dished out her way.

I can't say that I'm disappointed, either. I am looking forward to it. Why, you ask?

As if anyone needs a reason! Cersei Lannister has lied, cheated, stolen, conspired, carried out an incestuous relationship with her own brother and has abused her power for many years.

It's time this woman was brought down low.

Prepare for a catfight between her and Margaery Tyrell. I say bring it!

Society 6

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , ,

Very stoked! I just ordered my first three prints from a website called Society 6.

They have all kinds of neat items for sci-fi geeks and nerds. Naturally, I had to order three of the character prints, framed, from this site.

Arya Stark's caption is "Cat of the Canals."

Margaery Tyrell's caption is "The Little Rose."

Olenna Redwyne's caption is "The Queen of Thorns." Very fitting for the dame, indeed!

Next three choices: Ellaria Sand, Osha the Wildling and Brienne of Tarth. :)

Another Season Over...

I just don't know what to say.

I knew this day was coming. Time has a funny way of marching to a quicker pace when you are truly enjoying something, and at other times, goes at a snail's pace when you are bored stiff.

Tomorrow night is the season finale of Game of Thrones. I have purchased tickets to go see it at a movie theatre. I plan on going early, because the hysteria and mass fandom that will occur, I want to be in the front of the line, rather than the back of it.

I feel as though this season went by so fast - so many plot changes and a lot of things deviated from the books. Friends and colleagues have asked me - "What do you think is going to happen next?" I wish I could answer them, but the truth is that I can't.

I have read all the books but because a lot of material has been cut from the series, it's hard to tell where the focus will be for the season finale.

The title is called "The Children." I have a couple of good ideas as to what will take place. I have 3 big ideas in my head but I will not place any spoilers on my blog.

Here's to the Imp. Long may he live.

Here's to the young wolf pup, Arya. May she grow to be a tremendous assassin and avenge House Stark.

Here's to the Kingslayer. May he stray far away from the evil clutches of his depraved sister.

Here's the to flower of Highgarden. May Margaery best Cersei, personally and politically.

And who knows: maybe the White Walkers are completely misunderstood. Maybe they are meant to clean up the scourge and filth in the Seven Kingdoms.

Still miss Oberyn Martell, tho.

Oath Keeper!

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Well, while I enjoyed some aspects of last night's episode....I was rather confused.

As in, I went back to my book to see if I had forgotten any minor plots.

Nope, it looks like I didn't. So, last night's episode had a lot of changes. To be honest, I didn't mind some of them (the scene between Margaery and Olenna really cracked me up, I howled with laughter). I loved the Bronn, Jaime and Tyrion scenes.

Again, some of the other changes....well, I don't know why they were made. I'm guessing for the time constraints and having to shave off a lot of material.

I am STILL waiting for something major to happen....hinting at a female character.

I get that change can be a good thing. But, what if some of these changes confuse book readers?!

On that note, I am totally looking forward to next week's episode.

REALLY hoping that Margaery wipes that smug look off Cersei's face!

Points to Consider

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , , ,

I find it difficult to turn my brain off of Game of Thrones.

Just ask my husband, he hears it all the time.

At any rate, I have a few theories that might make sense, regarding Arya, Tyrion, Dany and Sansa.

First: the whole thing about the three headed dragon. I think it could be that Arya, Tyrion and Dany are destined to join forces. That would actually be pretty cool, considering that all three of those characters have been through the ringer and then some.

Of course, it would also be super cool if Arya found someone to stand with. As in a romantic interest. Not one that would match her battle skills, her wit and her stubbornness. This is where some minor spoilers are going to take place, so you've been warned. Aegon would be her match, he's a few years older than her, has had to struggle and fight and use his wits to survive the harsh world of Westeros. After all, there is that prophesy that Cersei is going to be taken down by someone younger and more beautiful than her.

While I would love to see it be Margaery, I wonder if it could be Sansa or Arya? After all, both Stark girls have suffered under Cersei's political and personal scheming. It would only make sense that Cersei suffers so bad to the point where she loses everything. And at the hands of a Stark daughter.

Of course, it would also be awesome if Sansa were to somehow, someway, get rid of Littlefinger and assume control of the Vale. I kind of want her and Tyrion back together. That would get under Cersei's skin so badly.....and for Tyrion, he gets a wife of noble blood and also he can claim Winterfell through Sansa. He could also bring some political savvy to the realm. If Arya and Sansa were to be reunited, it would be bittersweet. But at least the two girls would have each other, which is one way of looking at it.

I also would love to see Margaery and Sansa take down Cersei with any means at their disposal.

I think a lot of fans would love to see that!

Margaery and Olenna

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , , ,

Olenna (aka the Queen of Thorns) and Margaery rock. Simply put.

Remember, Westeros is not an easy society to live in, especially if you're a woman. Oh, sure it helps if you have a pretty face, money and a powerful family.

Even those things may not be enough to save you from the constant threat of violence, assault and deceit.

Although, I must say, I quite enjoy every scene that has one or both of those ladies. The elder, wise in the ways of the world, court intrigue and politics is teaching and clearing the path for one who is younger, sexier and far more shrewd. Although Margaery has so far been careful the way she chooses her words and actions.

Love how she is getting under Cersei's skin.

Oh yes, and how daddy Tywin puts Cersei in her place. BOOM!

Can we please have a scene with Tywin and Olenna? Would love to overhear a conversation between those two...

My Top 10 for Season III

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I have 10 good reasons as to why I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to March 31, 2013.

Y'all know, the season premiere of Game of Thrones third season?!

10. The Hound. A scarred warrior. A tremendous fighting machine. A man who told the King where to go and how to go about doing it. I have a new found respect for him, despite his past transgressions.

9. The Blackfish, Brynden Tully. Being introduced to the Blackfish of House Tully will help explain the family's origins, motives and military allegiances.

8. What's going to happen to Tyrion Lannister! He's the best one of the bunch! Need I say more on the subject?!

7. The Reed siblings. This should be interesting and as a fan, I am hoping that certain historical elements will be revealed to Bran and Rickon, especially about how their late father rescued their late aunt Lyanna, right before she died. Could unlock one of the greatest mysteries about why Lyanna was alone and what the cause of her death was.

6. The White Walkers!! Holy crap! What is going to go down at the Fist of First Men? And what will happen to Samwell Tarly?

5. Ygritte and Jon Snow. C'mon, I'm just going to say it like it is: we ALL can't wait to see what Ygritte is going to 'teach' Jon up in the frigid lands north of the Wall. She's a redhead, she's fiery and she calls Jon on his ignorance and naivete. I have a feeling that Jon Snow is going to be quite the apt pupil. If you catch my drift.

4. Bran and Rickon Stark. I have a tender spot in my heart for these two young Stark children, forced to grow up, to deal with their father's death, their mother's separation and the shocking execution of Ser Rodrick Cassel and having to say goodbye to their beloved Maester Luwin. I am looking forward to the dreams and the transformation of wolf and man. Dreams and visions are pretty powerful things, and Bran must come to terms with this new found ability.

3. Lady Olenna Redwyne. I've been looking forward to seeing who would be cast for this role. Yes, she's an old lady but grandma's got game! She's wise, cunning and quietly dominates her family. Sure, she lets her son think he rules the Tyrell roost. But come on, now. WE all know that the quiet power behind the Tyrell family sigil of "Growing Strong" isn't a male: it's Olenna. And with her sharp eyes and cutting wit, she is molding and shaping one far more beautiful as her protegee: her granddaughter, Margaery. Margaery Tyrell: shrewd, seductive, survivor. I can't wait to see what the writers have in store. Margaery isn't just another pretty face. You GO GIRLS!

2. Arya Stark. Let's see the mercenary skills begin to emerge. She's sassy enough to dress like a boy. She's got the basic fundamental sword and fencing skills down pat. She's made an important ally: Jaqen H'gar. Valar Morghulis, anyone?

1. Mance Raydar, King Beyond the Wall. CIARAN HINDS. That's my rationale. Does a woman need to say anything else?

"Q" is for Queen!

Author: Anonymous / Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Just because you are a Queen doesn't necessarily give you absolute power.

Just look at Cersei Lannister. She yearns to sit on the Iron Throne and rule over Westeros with a vicious grip. Not bloody likely. Not while she is Queen Regent. Which, for all of her scheming and calculations, it more or less backfired in her face. Placing Joffrey on the thrones was like unleashing a swarm of angry bees after someone has knocked over their hive. Not pleasant for anyone involved.

Not that she fared any better as Robert Baratheon's Queen. She did her duty: she married him, united two powerful Houses in the Seven Kingdoms and produced three children (whom we all know are not legitimate children borne of that union, but products of incest).

Sansa Stark was betrothed to Prince Joffrey Baratheon in Season I. She would've been his Queen, once the late King passed on and perhaps things may have had a nicer turn out, had Eddard Stark not been accused of treason and Joffrey didn't turn out to be the vile sociopath that he really was. In Season II, Sansa should thank her lucky stars that she did not wed Joffrey. Her physical and mental abuse at his hands (or his henchmen's hands) was a real nice preview of what a 'blissful' married life they would've had together. (note my sarcasm)

Next candidate for Queen: there are two potential women who vie for the title and all it's privileges: Lady Talisa Migear and Lady Margaery Tyrell. (in the book we know that Robb Stark ends up marrying a character named Jeyne Westerling, from an impoverished House)

Lady Talisa is a field nurse, tending to wounds, cuts, amputations and dead bodies, no matter what House they serve. Lady Margaery has been trained by birth in the finer arts of women's studies, castellan management and court politics and etiquette by her grandmother, Lady Olenna Redwyne. Who is more worthy of the title? Who will be able to play the game better, outwit and outlast people longer and live to see another year in the Seven Kingdoms?

The tides have now turned and people's fortunes rise and fall just like the sun and the moon in the Seven Kingdoms. By the end of Season II, we see that Lady Margaery Tyrell has now been betrothed to King Joffrey Baratheon. Where Sansa cowered and put on a mask to conceal her true feelings, Margaery looks like she's able to use her looks and her sexuality to manipulate Joffrey. She doesn't look like she's afraid of Cersei, either. And you wonder why I like Margaery Tyrell.

Season III is going to place the women of Westeros on a whole different playing field!
